| Hoping to tap into the patio market, a Devon nursery has created a distinctive product to appeal to garden centre customers. Available from Albion Plants, a member of the Peninsula Plants cooperative, the clematis planters are woven from Somerset willow to produce a support and placed in a terracotta pot. Part-owner Brenda Huggons showed off May- and June-flowering varieties in the planters. The nursey is taking orders for delivery in bud in May 2002. The planters were out on display last week at the South West Regional Growers' show, in Exeter. |
